Rutgers 3rd in Bill Cup 4/20/2009
The Rutgers Crew finished 3rd in the annual race for the Edward Lyman Bill Cup on the Connecticut River in Hanover, NH. The Bill Cup was first presented in 1941, and is awarded to the winner of the annual varsity race among the crews from Rutgers, Dartmouth, and Boston University.
Boston University led the race early, and steadily moved ahead to win by open water, covering the 2000 meter course in 5:29.8. Dartmouth finished 2nd with Rutgers 3rd. BU also won the 2nd varsity and 2nd freshmen events, while Dartmouth won the freshmen race.
Rutgers will be back in action next Sunday when they travel to Washington DC for their last regular season race of the season against host Georgetown University and George Washington.
